Astrological events are a lot like a weather report – they only give you an idea and probability of the coming energies and hopefully help you plan the coming month accordingly.
I recently read an 18 page article on Body Changes associated with ascension or transformation or as I’m beginning to feel – metamorphosis. Yes, indeed we are a-changing! I don’t know about you, but the way that my psyche works is to have comprehension of what is going on’ so that I can settle down and go with the flow.
We are currently in the zodiac sign of Gemini which is the archetypal sign that centers on anything and everything ‘mental’, the mind and all forms of communication. It is the zodiac sign depicted by the twins and as a mother of twins, I can greatly appreciate the juggling intensity it takes to birth, parent and understand the balancing act with twins. I can only imagine what it much be like to ‘be’ a twin.
So take heart – if you are going through mental gyrations that are triggered by emotional events that then move into a mantra of changing everything in your life, stop and breathe through the panic that is created when your emotions are deeply triggered. These are unserving points of negativity that are being excavated. We are in the throes of balancing our own three minds – negative mind, positive mind and neutral mind and it takes patient perseverance to stop the spinning and sort out what has been triggered and untangle the triplets of despair that are spinning in our heads!
Eclipses symbolically provide that time-standstill point in which we can shed the old and unserving ways of being in order to usher in a new direction for our lives. If we choose to engage them consciously with our sacred intentions, we can navigate easily and avoid otherwise chaotic energies.
Gemini is also the sign of the social translator and in the Tarot is the Magician, magically turning fragments of life experience into something new. The Gemini archetype offers a time for a fresh wind to blow in to help shift our consciousness into higher ways of being.
The June 1st eclipse is followed by a Lunar Eclipse in fire sign Sagittarius on June 15th. Both signs crave experiences that nourish the mind, and are stimulating. To navigate this, see if you can find a way to shift and exit a negative thought-loop, especially one driven by fear or anxiety.
It’s a chance for an upgrade to a higher operating system, by stepping up in a stance of total engagement with life — with a free, flexible mind, active imagination, sharpened instincts and open heart. New Moons are about ditching what’s not working. Are you tuning in to the wrong frequencies? With its discerning trine to Saturn Libra (both Sun-Moon), we hone in on what’s bright, a resonant (high) vibe, and keeps us interested in this game of life.
The month of June gives wave after wave of opportunity to choose new ways of thinking, being and living – both physical and nonphysical and find an updraft of energy for the follow-through motivation inspired by the heightened solar and lunar dance.
The Four Agreements (Don Miguel Ruiz) spells-out in pristine simplicity the new (renewed) agreements we can choose to make and live by. The four agreements are so simple that they are easily missed when engrossed in deep self-searching sometimes missing straightforward solutions right in front of us.
His (Ruiz) words ring true and pure in the new paradigm shift to keep it simple… 1) Be impeccable with your words, 2) don’t take anything personally, 3) don’t make assumption, 4) always do your best, and 5) (NEW-a fifth agreement) be skeptical, but learn to listen.
What a completely easy, reasonable and pure way of thinking and being that provides its’ own built-in rewards and results. We are leaving the ways of being that require communication that is divisive and gossipy and victim-positioned. We are releasing ways of being and thinking that are competitive and warrior-like and carry the hive-mentality that insists on hierarchical pecking order assigning each ‘bee’ its’ place in the hive with only one ‘queen’ supreme leader.
If you think about it, the hive concept is the infrastructure of most religions, who has one central supreme leader, a few drone-leaders and on down in rank to worker bees that take vows of chastity, poverty and obedience. This infrastructure permeates most of our society from politics (President down to the worker bees known as taxpayers!) to Academia. Though the hive structure is an efficient productive design there is no actual freedom for anyone – lose-lose for all.
Awakening in each sovereign soul is a realization that 1) we are not bees, and 2) we want out of this way of living. This is the old way of bee-ing and living that we are leaving behind.
With the turning of the ages we have NEW opportunities to embrace a way of being that lives and speaks the TRUTH – that is sovereign, honest, and wise and a way that appreciates the perfection of natural simplicity. Through the renewing of our minds – the way that we think, we can reclaim our freedom, extract our own honey to sustain ourselves and family, and live as a healthy, happy, holy human!
June 1 – New Moon Solar Eclipse is a Gemini New Moon, partial Gemini Solar Eclipse. This partial eclipse of the sun will be visible in parts of Asia and the northern latitudes of Alaska, Canada and Greenland, Iceland and Scandinavia.
Gemini is an air sign, is the archetype of the twin and connects us with the conceptual processes of the mind, which holds two or more opinions, usually opposing each other. During the eclipse window there is availability to steer around inner conflict to accessing higher mind and connecting it with the human cognitive possibility. This is a good time to sit with pen and paper in hand, still the mind and listen to your guides and teachers.
June 15 – Full Moon Lunar Eclipse this total Eclipse of the Sun-Moon opposition aligns with the heart of the Milky Way. We can easily realign our hearts, minds and souls with cosmic Mother’s Milk of higher truth.
This eclipse will be visible in many parts of Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe and South America.

This is a Sagittarius Full Moon. Sagittarius is a fire sign and is the archetype of the truth seeker, the one who is focused and aiming at the truth with the precision of a bow hunter, who aims at the target, releases the arrow and then travels towards what has been targeted.
During the eclipse window, be precise with what you are targeting, be it financial, relational, health-wise or informational. This is a time of honing in on specific singular truth and then moving towards it with speed and agility. Be conscious of where you want to point the Sagittarius arrow. Then follow your heart which is the bow of your personal truth. Aim and release!
JUNE 21 – THE SUMMER SOLSTICE - Midsummer is a cardinal pivot point of the year sitting at the longest daylight hours, and the shortest night of the year, when the sun reaches his apex in the sky, and the days will now grow shorter as the light begins to wane. This takes place, June 20-23.
Litha as it is also called occurs when the Sun enters zero degrees Cancer. It marks Midsummer for many cultures, even though in most of the US, summer has barely started and the kids are just now getting out of school! Some traditions call the festival “Litha”, a name occurring in Bede’s “Reckoning of Time” (7th century). Bede writes that “Litha means ‘gentle’ or ‘navigable’; because in this month the calm breezes are gentle and smooth sailing prevailed.
Summer Solstice in Cancer – zero degrees Cancer, a water sign, the archetype of responsible nurturing – and with the cosmic lineup we have been in, we are all experiencing deep waters of overflowing, flooding and overwhelming emotions, oceans of challenges, & finding our financial boats stressed. Gaia is reclaiming herself and as her children, we are in a position to be of service to her and each other, as we purpose to rise up, up, up from whatever circumstances we find ourselves in until we are no longer trapped by our circumstances – the divine child emerges!

Nurture yourself during this time. Listen to your body thankful for the perfection of your spirit vehicle in earth-plane. Your body is your best friend and one which will always tell you the truth. Take time to tune into ‘how you feel’. Listen to your bodies’ wisdom and purpose to take extra care with this intricately tuned conveyor of your heart and soul through physicality.
We are getting squeezed to shed off the old world limitations, and while often very challenging, it is also incredibly exciting to get increasing glimpses of how beautiful life is when we’re in our true state.
Things are changing fast for humanity as part of the consciousness shift associated with (but in no way limited to) 2012. Much is breaking down in the Earth herself and in all types of human structures, organizations and individual lives to birth this new era.
The new energies help us transcend the see-saw of living in a world of opposites and to allow us to step into unity consciousness where the balance spot – and our authenticity – is found.
So…relax, breathe deeply, get out in nature, breathe deeply again and again, drink LOTS of water and begin to notice that you are filled with light that is emanating from your soul and shining throughout every pore of your body. You are overflowing with love that endlessly holds you and frees you to fly as the true daughter and son of god that you are!
Notice that you have expanded into sensory capacities far beyond the mundane five senses that you are accustomed to heretofore. Observe that each step you take you are lighter and lighter as if your feet aren’t quite touching the ground! See that when you take a moment to check in with your heart that you – your true pure essence is abiding in serene ease and grace unmoved by the noise around you.
Yes, we are changing. Yes, we are being lovingly and intensely upgraded, rewired, rebirthed and turned inside out! Isn’t it grand? Isn’t worth it all? Yes, I say, yes, a thousand times YES!
